Rod and Donna Anderson (left) have previous church planting experience, having planted the very successful Rolling Hills Church (now Shadow Lake Community Church) in Papillion, Neb. They love people and enjoy relationships and are committed to getting involved with the everyday struggles many people face today.
Christ Community Church is focused and
energetic about reaching lost people. Rod recently wrote, "last week (June 20) we heard of 9 children that had come to Christ through the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship which was staffed by people from Christ Community Church. Today, we heard of a young woman who accepted Christ as one of our faithful members shared a tract on how you can be 100% certain that you are going to heaven.
God is good . . . all the time . . . AND all the time . . . God is good." The church encourages people to connect the riches of Christ with the realities of your life.
Christ Community Church has recently leased a facility near the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls. This facility, which had previously been converted into a church, has provided much more educational space and a nice worship environment. As well, no longer does the church have to set up and tear down equipment every Sunday. They now have a place to call home.
Special Note: In June 2010, the church welcomed many new families
. Summer attendance (120) and giving have held steady. God is at work. The church continues to hold two worship services.
Neil Peterson (with family - below) has provided dynamic worship leading and has enhanced the overall experience of Sunday mornings at CCC. Peterson has led worship for many years and brings a wealth of experience and gifte
dness.
Christ Community also hired a part-time children’s director (the Teagues) who have several years of experience with children’s ministries and the church is known for being family and children oriented. The church has had steady growth since its beginning in the spring of 2006.
