Speaker Kevin
Marsico encourages his listeners Sunday morning to remember
that most feel people trapped on the inside, regardless of
how they look on the outside.
The comedy of
Kenn Kington Friday evening ended the evening.
Danny Oertli
served as the worship leader for the weekend and gave a
concert Saturday evening. The array of sounds he creatively
drew from his guitar amazed his audience.
Convention goers
could attend workshops Saturday morning provided by various
Mennonite Brethren agencies, including Don Morris of Mission
USA.
A highlight of
the convention weekend was hearing from people involved in
planting two new Mennonite Brethren churches in the SDC.
Here representatives of those church plants are blessed with
prayer.
Ken Ediger,
pastor of North Oak Community Church, sports the bandana
that identified members of their congregation as hosts of
the event.
Times of singing
with Danny Oertli opened all general sessions.
The 2007 SDC
convention was a family affair, with youth and children's
activities provided.
