Church Planting

Providence Fellowship in Edmond, Okla.

Providence Fellowship, the Mennonite Brethren church plant in Edmond, Okla., is doing well following its Launch Sunday Nov. 12, 2006. Many gifted leaders have stepped up to the plate and are offering valuable service in ministry and outreach. This church, now numbering around 120 on Sunday mornings, is in a position to make a dramatic impact in the surrounding area. The passion for reaching people with the Good News of Jesus is a fundamental part of the life of Providence Fellowship.

Gifted church plant pastor Jason Gilbow is taking some much-needed time away for a few more weeks but the ministry hasn’t slowed down in his absence. New attendees keep arriving and find energizing worship, connections with others, a warm spirit and a passionate missional mindset among the people. New ministries are being started almost every week. Providence Fellowship is a rewarding place to be and meets at the Silhouette Event Center on Broadway Extension just south of 33rd street in Edmond.

Mission USA is in partnership with the Southern District Conference in planting this church. In addition, there are several Southern District Conference churches that are helping to support and partner with this new church. Special appreciation goes to Memorial Road MB Church in Edmond that is also supporting this new venture.
