National Pastors' Conference

Register for the National Pastors Conference

Come to Omaha July 25-26 for the National Pastors' Conference

Dr. James L. Nicodem, author of Prayer Coach and pastor of Christ Community Church in the greater Chicago area, will be speaking to USMB pastors and spouses at the 2012 National Pastors' Conference held prior to Conection 2012.

"It seems every pastor wants an effective prayer life," says Ed Boschman, USMB executive director and also a pastor. "But we struggle to find joy in our prayer life. Jim will help us get there."

Nicodem, an enthusiastic and compelling communicator, will challenge his listeners in a "gentle but effective way," says Boschman. "He is encouraging and practical and avoids the usual guilt-trip approach to prayer."

Nicodem will speak on spiritual disciplines and times of prayer will be interspersed throughout the two-day National Pastors' Conference.

Jesus' prayer in John 17 serves as the theme for the National Pastors' Conference and Conection 2012. In this prayer, Jesus calls his followers to be one and "one way to get there is prayer," says Boschman. John 17 also captures the missionary focus of U.S. Mennonite Brethren—to see individuals, families and communities transformed by the grace and power of Christ Jesus.

The National Pastors' Conference will be held at Embassy Suites Old Market in Omaha, Neb.
