Ed Boschman - Executive Director
Ed has invested his life in serving the church in a variety of ministry roles, including founder and lead pastor of Laurelglen Bible Church, Bakersfield, Calif., lead pastor of Willow Park Church, Kelowna, B.C., executive director of Mission USA and moderator of the North American Conference of MB Churches. The fact that his current role as Executive Director is a good match for his gifts in leadership, exhortation and preaching helps make this demanding job an enjoyable one for him. That, and an optimistic view of our future as USMB: “I am passionate about the possibilities for kingdom impact when we catch the mission vision for our neighborhoods and our nation,” he says. He likes taking “mini honeymoons” with his wife, Carol, and riding his Harley. Ed and Carol attend The Bridge Bible Church, Bakersfield, CA. ebed@usmb.org
Donna Sullivan - Administrative Secretary/Bookkeeper
Donna has been managing a myriad of behind-the-scenes details for the USMB, including administration, bookkeeping and event planning, for more than 22 years. Although she was not raised Mennonite Brethren, she intentionally chose to be a part of the USMB family “because of the sense of connectedness and the emphasis on discipleship—living the walk, not just talking about the walk.” She and her husband, Tim, are actively involved at First MB Church, Wichita, Kan. Her favorite hobby is spending time with her four grandsons. offices@usmb.org
Don Morris - Director, Mission USA
Don has been leading USMB church planting and church health initiatives since 2004 and works out of his office in Edmond, Okla. “I believe we have an expanding desire to be used by God to help many more people become a part of his kingdom,” Don says. “Some denominations are headed backward. I believe our conference of churches is headed in a positive direction. That’s exciting to be a part of.” He and his wife, Janna, attend Memorial Road MB Church, Edmond, Okla. When he’s not interacting with people from across our national church family—which he thoroughly enjoys, by the way—Don might be found rooting for his favorite college football team, Kansas State. don@missionusa.net
J Edward Epp - Director of Development
Having served as a pastor in the Central District Conference for a number of years before joining the USMB staff, J has been impressed by the kingdom impact of USMB projects, ministries and church plants. In his current role as director of development, he hopes many more churches will partner with USMB for even greater impact. “I can’t wait to see how the Lord will use USMB in the future, and I’m so glad I get to be a part of this work,” he says. J and his wife, Lisa, attend Henderson (Neb.) MB Church. In his free time, he enjoys restoring old cars and trucks -- his favorite being a 1949 Ford F-3 pickup. jepp@usmb.org
Connie Faber - Editor, Christian Leader
It is obvious to all who meet Connie that her commitment to the church—both her home congregation and the larger Mennonite Brethren family—runs deep. She has served with the denominational magazine since 1994 and as editor since 2004. In her role with the magazine, Connie enjoys learning about the ways local congregations and individuals are involved in transforming individuals, families and communities, then sharing those stories. Her contact with many congregations and people has given her an appreciation for the diversity of the USMB family. “Each church is different, with a unique role to fill in their home community,” she says. “Each church has a story to share and special people that call that church home.” She and her husband, David, have three children and attend Ebenfeld MB Church, Hillsboro, KS. editor@usmb.org
Myra Holmes - Assistant Editor of Christian Leader / Social Media Coordinator
Myra serves as the Christian Leader’s assistant editor as well as the Social Media Coordinator— both part-time positions—from her home office in Denver. “God is definitely at work in and through our MB family,” Myra says, “and I get to help tell those stories, whether in print or on Facebook or Twitter.” In addition to wearing two “hats” for the USMB, Myra often dons cowboy boots to ride or work with horses. She and her husband, Ed, attend Trailhead Church, an MB church plant in Centennial, Colo., and have twin daughters in college. myra@usmb.org
Aleksandr Borisov - Slavic Ministries Director
Aleks joined our staff in 2011 to build bridges between the 34 Slavic USMB congregations and the broader USMB family and its agencies. In addition to serving half-time as Slavic Ministries Director, he serves as Pastor of Education at Pilgrim Slavic Baptist MB Church, Spokane, Wash. He notes that Slavic Christians new to the United States share common roots and similar history with Mennonite Brethren who immigrated here a century ago. “We have now a very bright, blessed future together here in the U.S.” Aleks particularly enjoys “spoiling” his three grandchildren, “allowing them to do what they want and buying them what they like.” aleksandr@usmb.org
Lori Taylor - Executive Assistant
Lori joined the USMB staff in 2008 and says, “This job is a blessing for God and I enjoy every aspect of it. I am constantly encouraged by the life transformation stories I hear from all over the world. This input creates an excitement in me to be a part of God’s work.” She and her husband, Geoff, attend Heritage Bible Church, Bakersfield, Calif., where they share a passion for supporting and encouraging healthy marriages and blended families. They have one married daughter, and a son and two daughters in college. Lori enjoys cooking a big dinner, then lingering at the table with friends over a cup of dark roast coffee. lori@usmb.org
