Mission USA's church planting initiatives are predicated on strategy and spontaneity. As a church plant project develops, the freedom to flex based upon interventions by the Holy Spirit and also the project's context provides the Projec
t Team with a foundation of integrated faith and reason. We have found that there are various church planting models that work. No one model is the norm for Mission USA church planting.
It is the primary responsibility of the director and Church Planter(s) to pay careful attention to both the details of the Project Plan and the leading of God's Spirit. Times of reflection and spiritual retreats will be intentional and planned ahead of time during each project. All of the participants in a church plant, including the planter and Project Team should be willing to set aside specific times to pray and fast for this is first and foremost God's work and the expansion of his Kingdom.
God has a way of changing things along the way - or, at least moving things in unexpected directions. If we don't listen to Him, and are unwilling to shift/flex, we're in trouble.
